The most effective weapon against the threat of split ends is moisture. Either regularly use a hair treatment or so-called hair tip fluids. But there is also a home remedy against split ends: oil cures. Knead regularly some high-quality edible oil or cosmetic oil, for example olive, coconut or jojoba oil, into your hair tips. In this way you can successfully prevent split ends.

Other household remedies sometimes used against split ends are, for example, the following formulations, which also moisturise the hair and keep it supple:
Honey-Egg-Hair Treatment
Mix 1 egg, 1 teaspoon honey, lukewarm and 2 tablespoons olive oil and apply to the hair. After 30 minutes, rinse with a mild shampoo.
Egg-Banana Hair Treatment
Mix 2 egg yolks, 1 banana and 50 cl orange juice and puree. Apply the mixture to the hair and leave to work for 60 minutes under cling film. Then rinse with a mild shampoo.
Otherwise, a shorter hairstyle that does not leave the tips of the hair in contact will naturally help. Due to the lower mechanical stress, split ends are less likely to develop.
