I hope you all had the chance to join us, for our Halloween Decor Tour, in which we shared with you all of the festive touches I made, to put a little Halloween in the air, indoors and outdoors! The post tour naturally consists of a ton of photos, or else how else could I show you all? That, and my small chit-chat, made the post plenty long enough. So I promised to share how I made some of the decor, in a separate post in the Crafts & Creations section soon. And here we are.

This just may be the coolest and most fun craft, I have ever done with our kiddos. If that wasn’t awesome enough, it is super easy, and it doesn’t make a mess either!! I know, right? It’s perfect for kid’s birthday parties, scouts, camps, etc. Our kids didn’t want to stop. They even made a couple of shirts for their friends. But all of you mothers, as we show you how simple this project is,….think outside the box, for yourselves, or other projects, too. I am!

Every time I’ve gone to Michael’s Arts and Crafts, I’ve looked at these large white letters you can purchase individually. I knew I wanted to create something using these letters as personalization, for {O}’s room. But I was undecided if I wanted to do her whole name, or just her initial.

I know! It’s been awhile since I’ve made a ceiling fan pull, huh? Hey, a girl only has so much time to craft! But once I got this new one in my head, I couldn’t go out & get the supplies to make it, fast enough. I made it, and then I was so excited to see it up, that I took down my summer fan pull, to put it up.

Several blog posts back, I shared a simple craft I did making decorative paper pennants. Part of that project was putting eyelets in the top corners of the pennants, to string ribbon through, and hang like paper bunting. I asked in that post if there was anyone interested in a tutorial on the procedure of using eyelets, and one of our readers, Lindy over at Veni Vidi Scrappy, said she would. She is a passionate scrap booker, as evidenced by her great site, so this would make for a very useful technique for her. But there are many creative ways

We had some family down a couple of weekends ago, and while they were here, the kids and I got to making pinwheels. O.k., in the end, it was mostly me really working on them. They needed to be fine tuned, to work properly. Making this quick little craft was on my agenda, so I already had the supplies. My niece and nephew each took one home.
Ours has served mostly as home decor, since then, being the time span between Memorial Day weekend, and the 4th of July. But today we took them down to the sea shore to really test drive them!

(8/2011 UPDATE: This craft was done & blogged in 2008. Now in 2011, with so many crafters owning Silhouette and Cricut Cutters, this craft is easier than ever!)
Finally we got to this T-Shirt project we wanted to do! I got the idea from our Family Fun Magazine that we have a subscription to, and I knew the kids would be all over it. If you click on that Family Fun link, it brings you right to the directions for this craft, but I think most of it will be pretty… (READ MORE......) | 2 Comments
