& FEATURED PROJECTS
FROM LAST WEEK’S LINK-UPS!
Memorial Day Weekend 2011 is coming to a close, as I sit here typing, exhausted from a wonderful 3 day weekend. I could really go on a blab-fest about how Memorial Day hits home for me, as I know it sadly does for many of you as well. Naturally, we all think of all of the American soldiers who have put their lives on the line for our country’s freedom, and sacrificed it. For some of us, the pain of that loss hits very close to home

& FEATURED PROJECTS
FROM LAST WEEKS LINK-UPS!
It’s Tuesday again, and that means it’s time for another Link-Up Party, to show off & inspire others, with the creative projects you’ve been up to! If you *must*, you can skip right down to the bottom and link-up, if that’s all you’re here for.
But like many bloggers who have linky-parties, we’ve decided to feature some of our favorite ideas that were linked up last week! It’s a tough thing to choose, because they are all great ideas, and hopefully our parties will

I’ve always thought skeleton keys were pretty cool, even back when I was a kid. While hunting at a frequented antique/junk stop of mine for old door knobs (for my recent Door Knob Project) I found some door knobs were part of a whole working set, complete with the opposite knob, door plate, locking mechanism, and of course…key holes. That got me wondering if there might be some old skeleton keys around the place too. So I asked the old man who owns the place.

By golly he did. He pulled

Well, you all know the cartwheels I turn, when it comes to themes/months/seasons/holidays, etc. So imagine my delight, when I came across this easy craft for monthly plaques! It’s an idea that was put together by Suzanne, at Just Another Hang Up, and she calls this full-year project: Plaque Attack.
I will get to all of the details you’ll want, at the end of this short & sweet post. Since Suzanne also covers how this project is done in depth, I did not bother photographing every step of the easy way. She also designed all of the month’s files, and is

This may be the shortest blog post from me ever. I don’t think I have a whole lot to say. But sometimes once I get going, more just comes out, so I guess we’ll see! : )
One of my favorite part of fairs, is walking around to look at the crafts. As a creative person myself, I can just appreciate the time, skill and handiwork that I know artists invested.
This time at the fair, we had limited time for viewing crafts, and we didn’t come across much more than what was in

Call me way late to the party, but I ‘just’ got around to making my summer fan pull. I’ve kept this one up, which I made for spring, all of this time.
But I’ve got 2 things to say about that: 1) I’m not really late TO the party. I think more, I’ve been too busy being AT a party, to find time for such things, as getting crafty. 2) The spring fan pull did not look all that out of place, so it didn’t bug me too much. I mean, it’s not like it was snowflakes or anything.
Thus, I’m giving myself a break. Just in case no… (READ MORE......) | 6 Comments

We had some family down a couple of weekends ago, and while they were here, the kids and I got to making pinwheels. O.k., in the end, it was mostly me really working on them. They needed to be fine tuned, to work properly. Making this quick little craft was on my agenda, so I already had the supplies. My niece and nephew each took one home.
Ours has served mostly as home decor, since then, being the time span between Memorial Day weekend, and the 4th of July. But today we took them down to the sea shore to really test drive them!

Just a quick share of my fan pull for Spring & Easter.
These beads are so beautiful. They are heavy, like marbles, but smaller.
And just ….pretty.

Sometimes, I like to plan arts and crafts for my kids. I’ll have an idea, or see some great crafts project in a magazine or online, and we’ll do it. But whether I plan arts and crafts or not, it still happens in this house, and all over this house, every day. The kids sure don’t need me, to come up with creative ideas. In fact, I’d go so far as to say, that their wild imagination tends to venture further than mine does.
I try to keep the school room stocked with art supplies at all times, so that the kids can get creating any time it strikes their… (READ MORE......) | 9 Comments

We tend to do a lot of crafts around here. I’m the kind of girl that walks into a place like Michael’s Arts and Crafts, and feels butterflies in her stomach from the vast and endless possible creations in that store. I usually go in with one project in mind, and come out with supplies for, well, several. : ) I’m easily inspired, and I especially love to do crafts with my kids. They love it too!
To further encourage our crafting, I can’t tell you how many times we’ve seen something cute in the store, and have been tempted to buy it, but then think, “We could easily just make something like this.” It turns… (READ MORE......)
