Hi blog friends! This is {A} this time. Mama said she has noticed we haven’t blogged any recipes of ‘real food’ in awhile, and it’s looking like we’ve been on a ‘sweets kick’ lately, so she said to let you know we’ll have some meal-related type recipes coming up soon. She just needs to think of some. But today, I wanted to share this cookie recipe I came up with on my own. Everyone in my family loved them when I made them, so I hope if you make them, you do too.

Just another short post, with lots of photos, from our blessed Easter Sunday……
The kids woke up to these surprises on Easter morning. They were thrilled!


The kids, looking all dapper, just before heading out to a beautiful Easter morning mass. {A} altar served, as usual. Then our friend from our church, Dr. Ann, had a gift bag for each of the kids after mass! She is so thoughtful! Didn’t take photos of that, but I should have, darn it.

Over the weekend we decided to look around in The Christmas Tree Shops. If you don’t have one of those near you, I feel bad for you. It’s such a great, affordable place, and I always come out with more than I planned on getting. So I try not to go in often. : ) But this time we all went in – and being the season to sell autumn decorations and goods, I had to control myself with every turn. However…..we did let the kids each choose a mini loaf ceramic pan, with the intention of letting them bake some mini loaves on Sunday.

It’s been good soup-kind-of-days, don’t you think? At least it has been in these New England parts. Rainy, gray, and cold. Well, cold compared to the first real spell of spring weather we were so spoiled with last week, anyway. So not only does it just sound good to me, but my maternal instinct just wants to make it for my kids and husband. To make something so healthy and hearty, and serve it to them, knowing that it warms their bodies and is so good for them, just makes me sigh a good kind of sigh. The kids just love to eat anyway.
