September 7th, 2010 / Upcoming Agenda, a Fair Series & More.

I’m guessing today is the first day of school for many of your kids, if you haven’t already started back up last week! Whether your kids go to school, or are home schooled, we wanted to wish you all a wonderful and enriching school year! We have not yet started back up, because we have enjoyed loosely schooling through the summer, and we are waiting for lots of new good stuff to come in! We’re betting a lot of it will come today, and we’ll all be tearing those boxes open! We are SO excited for a fresh new school year. We are trying a lot of new stuff, just to keep the fun going. : ) It’s going to be a GREAT and exciting year!
Coming up here at the blog, I have a few recipes I want to share, and also, the trio’s birthday! I still have LOTS of photos to edit and get ready for posts, so it’ll be a bit still, but I think you will enjoy them as I get them all up. Especially of you come to enjoy the photos, because there will be LOTS.
But for now, I told you all how excited we were to go to the fair! Well we went to a new one this year, and had a really good time! And as blessings would have it, we all got in free!! I was so prepared to spend $60 for us all to get in, which made me just cringe. (Especially after paying to get into another fair recently, that we didn’t end up staying for.) So imagine my delight, when as we walked along the fence heading to the entry gate ticket booth, a lady gave us 2 free passes! Then, we get to the ticket booth, and there is a sign that says it was Kid’s Day, so kids get in free! So we ALL got in free. We felt so great about that.
I love everything about country fairs. The atmosphere, agriculture, animals, games, the food, the lights and music, and seeing my kids smiling from ear to ear, loving every bit of it. So taking photos there is something I also enjoy doing! The fair is just fun photo opportunities everywhere. And boy did I take advantage of that!!
That’s why I thought I would do a short little fair photo series, called Come Stroll the Fair (with us). I split the fair photos up into three groups, and I will do a post for each: (general) Fun, for The Big Picture section, Crafts for the Crafts & Creations section, and also some Home Schooling (at the fair), in that section. So I’ll be putting out those posts one by one this week. Mostly photos, probably a little chatting too. (You know me,…..I have ‘something to say about everything’, as my mother always told me.)
All in all, a whole lot of fun coming up! Oh, and also a little (tiny) gift for all of you with a blog of your own. If you’d like to have it. Be on the lookout for it in these series posts. I hope you like it!
So tell me……who loves fair as much as I do?Anyone looking forward to this photo series?
Also, who has started school, and if you haven’t, when will you?
We love it when you chime in, and it’s a good day for it. : )
Blessings….Laura
